Adrian Sutil has been fined £6,300 ($10,000) by the FIA following his incident in second practice for the Singapore grand prix.
It wasn’t a great weekend for the German, nor the team, as Sutil span early in the session before entering the ‘Singapore Sling’ too quickly, jumping the first kerb and coming down on the second which such force, it broke his left front suspension.
He then proceeded to drive back to the pits, before finally parking the car. This is what led to the FIA’s decision to fine the driver, stating he ‘failed to leave the track as soon as it was safe too.’
He finished the session 16th quickest, just behind his team-mate.
