Adrian Sutil says he is confident that his VJM03 will suit the next few races on the calendar, but doesn’t expect to repeat their 2009 success at Spa.
Giancarlo Fisichella managed to qualify on pole position for the 2009 Belgium grand prix and, after 44 laps, he took second place behind Kimi Raikkonen.
Sutil is setting his sights on a reasonably healthy handful of points at the next few races as their layouts are expected to suit his Force India car.
“I feel very comfortable [about the remaining races],” the Press trust of India quote the German as saying whilst on a trip to the country.
“They should suit our car. If you remember last year, there was a podium finish there and a pole position [in Belgium].”
He then moved to play down any chances of repeating the teams best ever result in just over two weeks time.
“Last year we had an incredible car there, it was a big advantage,” he said. “This year, it’s a little bit more consistent. We don’t have that advantage any more.
“Still, we should be able to score a lot of points in the coming races,” he added.
“We have a very good chance in Spa and Monza.”
