Teams will have one less car to worry about in qualifying as Ferrari have confirmed that Fernando Alonso will not take part in the session.
The Spaniard lost the rear-end of his F10 going into turn three where he collided with the Armco barriers.
The resultant damage from the accident means Alonso will use a new chassis in the race, in which he will start from the pitlane.
He admitted to the BBC after the accident that driver error led to his crash.
Alonso will be hoping for rain on Sunday as overtaking in the principality is near impossible.
