The Spanish outfit, Epsilon Euskadi, could be joining the grid in 2011 after a report in the Spanish paper El Pais says Jean Todt is scheduled to fly into Spain and visit the Epsilon headquarters.
The team applied to enter F1 for the 2010 season but was beaten by: USF1, Hispania (Campos at the time), Lotus and Virgin.
They confirmed earlier this year that they would reapply for the 2011 season.
It emerges that FIA president, Jean Todt will meet with the Spanish sports minister Jaime Lissavetsky and Carlos Gracia, the head of Spain’s motor racing federation, on Tuesday. A press conference is also scheduled for the afternoon.
The report in El Pais reports that Todt will visit the Epsilon HQ in Azkoitia to discuss their 2011 entry.
The team boss is well-known Joan Villadelprat, who has previously worked with McLaren, Ferrari, Benetton, Tyrell and Prost in the past.
