Karun Chandhok will incur a five-placed grid penalty for the Chinese grand prix after his Hispania engineers broke a seal on his gearbox before FP3 without having an FIA scrutineer present.
This is a breach of the regulations which brings with it a five-place penalty to be applied after qualifying.
