It would seem the weather gods have listened to Mark Webber’s calls for rain. Webber told reporters after a boring Bahrain GP: “Let’s hope there’s a surprise in store in Melbourne – everyone knows the weather is very changeable at this time of the year, so a lot of things could change and liven it all up.
“I reckon a bit of rain might help the entertainment value – yes, it could be useful!”
It’s currently forecast to rain over all three days, with heavy showers during practice one, two, three and qualifying, whilst the race will suffer from light showers.
With the race finishing at the later time of 5pm, to better fit Europeans audiences, the combination of the setting sun and wet track could cause some visibility problems for the drivers.
