Dani Pedrosa declared fit to race at Valencia after medical check

Dani Pedrosa has been declared fit to race at this weekend’s MotoGP 2016 season finale at the Valencia circuit after a medical check.

The Spanish rider crashed heavily during practice for the Japanese Grand Prix at the Motegi circuit last month.

He suffered a fractured right collarbone, right fibula and the fourth metatarsal in his left foot, being forced out of the next three races.

Following a medical check at the Valencia track, Pedrosa was given the all-clear to return to his Repsol Honda bike and race at the finale.

Honda confirmed the news that Pedrosa will be back racing at Valencia on Twitter.

He had been hopeful of returning to his Honda bike ahead of the medical check but remained unsure if he would be fit enough to race.

The 2016 riders’ championship has already been wrapped up, with Marc Marquez securing the title in Japan.
