Callum Ilott capped the second round of the FIA European Formula 3 Championship with victory in the final race of the weekend at Monza.
Prema driver Ilott vaulted into the lead from third of the grid, while team-mate Guanyu Zhou also made progress at the expense of pole man Joel Eriksson and front-row starter Lando Norris.
Zhou moved into second, while Norris profited from an error by Eriksson to take third.
Norris set off in pursuit of Zhou and quickly overhauled the Ferrari protégé, by which time compatriot Ilott had established a two-second lead up front.
Norris inched closer to Ilott across the remainder of the race but the Prema driver maintained a comfortable margin at the front of the field, bagging his second win of the year.
Maximilian Gunther beat Eriksson to the final podium position, while Ferdinand Habsburg took fifth, in front of Mick Schumacher and Pedro Piquet.
Ralf Aron and Jehan Daruvala took eighth and ninth, while Zhou slipped back to 10th spot after his earlier starring run among the leading group.
Eriksson’s fourth place ensured he held on to the lead of the championship by just a solitary point, on 104 to Norris’ 103, with Ilott further back on 76.
